FLEX360 website launch: BroylesAward.com
October 6, 2009
The Broyles Award, which honors the top assistant coach in college football, gets a fresh look and new functionality. In 1996, the Broyles Award was established to recognize the dedicated, hard-working assistant football coaches. The award is named for legendary University of Arkansas football coach Frank Broyles who established an unprecedented track record of producing outstanding assistant coaches who went on to accomplish great things as head coaches. The Broyles Award is presented by the Rotary Club of Little Rock and features an awards banquet each year in Little Rock, Arkansas to honor the finalists and winners.
More than 25 Broyles' assistants went on to become head coaches at the college or professional level, including Joe Gibbs, Hayden Fry, Raymond Berry, Jimmy Johnson, Johnny Majors, Jackie Sherrill and Barry Switzer. The Broyles Award is a member of the National College Football Awards Association which was founded in 1997 and serves as a coalition of major collegiate football awards including the Heisman Trophy, the Doak Walker Award and the Lombardi Award.
The new website features a wealth of information about the award, a database of past nominees and winners, photo galleries and a press release archive. The site is completely managed by FLEX360's SitePilot content management system which allows the Broyles Award staff to update content, manage the nominees and post press releases without any knowledge of website programming.
The 2009 Broyles Award banquet is December 8, 2009 at the DoubleTree Hotel.
