FLEX360.com boasts new look, features

March 12, 2006

FLEX360, the Little Rock-based Web development firm, has launched its newly redesigned and updated FLEX360.com with new features and functionality that reflect what the firm can offer clients.

"We wanted the new site to communicate to prospective and existing clients the kind of cutting-edge design and functionality we can provide -- but to it in a fun, exciting way," FLEX360 Director Brent Birch said. "We think the new FLEX360.com achieves that goal.

"The site's eye-popping design is by Creative Director Mike Ortega, who wanted a contemporary look that set FLEX360's Web site apart from others with a unique use of color and composition. He rendered the site in Flash animation to show prospective clients that Web sites can communicate effectively even when stepping beyond traditional designs.

"We love to take chances and experiment, as this site illustrates," Ortega said. "And I think it also shows our knack for taking bits of information and presenting them in a coherent, compelling fashion that pushes boundaries and gets noticed.

"FLEX360 Senior Web Developer Alex Lambert and new Web Developer Daniel Van Milligan programmed the site. Among the new features is an RSS feed of FLEX360 news and announcements, which clients can subscribe to via an RSS reader or an RSS-friendly Web browsers such as Mozilla Firefox (PC and Mac) and Safari (Mac).

"RSS is much more than the latest Web buzzword of the moment," Birch said. "It's a convenient, efficient way that users can keep track of news from a variety of RSS-enabled Web sites. We can help our clients use RSS just like we do: to communicate a message in a way that's relevant to our audience's Web habits and how they consume information."Users can subscribe to the FLEX360 feed by clicking on the orange RSS link on the site's front page and following their RSS reader's instructions.
