FLEX360's Littlerockfamily.com wins gold at national competition

FLEX360's Littlerockfamily.com won gold awards in Web site design and Web site content at the Parenting Publications Awards (PPA) in Philadelphia last week.
The Little Rock-based Web development firm designed the site for Arkansas Business Publishing Group (ABPG) of Little Rock, the state's largest niche publishing company, which publishes Little Rock Family magazine.
Judges called the site "a complete Web site with a clear centerpiece, easy-to-use design and several spots that offer readers an interactive experience. Color is used well to delineate particular areas of content; searchable calendar is easy to use; and there is a clear hierarchy of information for Web users. Design is parent- and kid-friendly without pandering.
"The site launched in January. It features the latest editorial content from the monthly magazine, plus breaking news added weekly for the site's weekly and monthly e-newsletters.
Littlerockfamily.com also contains searchable directories of its popular guides to central Arkansas schools, field trip destinations, after-school activities and more. And readers can submit items for the site's activities calendar and family-friendly links for its Web links directory.
The site was created by FLEX360's award-winning staff of programmers and designers and Little Rock Family's editorial staff, including Editor and Publisher Brigette Williams.Little Rock Family is a free, monthly, award-winning parenting publication serving parents in central Arkansas.
